A common question I get from clients is whether or not their Medicare plan covers dental and/or vision. The answer all depends upon which plan they choose. Many Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans do include coverage for dental and/or vision. However, there can be big differences between these types of plans so it is important to review them each year to find the right plan that meets your needs.

Medicare Supplement plans typically do not provide dental or vision coverage. But you can purchase a stand-alone dental and/or vision plan in addition to your Medicare Supplement plan to get the coverage you need. When purchasing a stand-alone dental or vision plan, you are not restricted to an enrollment period. Meaning, you can enroll in a dental or vision plan all year round.
